Drawing Fundamentals
Good drawing skills are the foundation for all fine arts. Learn to master tone, proportions, form, perspective, line, shading, positive and negative space and other foundation elements of good drawing technique. A class for all age groups
Commencing: New Sessions 2010
Venue: Mount Steet Neighbourhood House, Mount St, Glen Waverley
Time: Sat afternoons from 2pm - 4pm
Term fees: $125 for WAS members. Non-members pay $160 for 10 weeks
(adult). Payable at first class
Waverley Arts Society Membership fees are: Family $95 p.a,Adult $60 p.a
or Child $30 p.a (due Jan each yr) However, for new members joining after
June, we only charge half this rate. Benefits include monthly magazine,
monthly demonstrations, discounts at art supply stores, opportunities to
enter our sales and exhibitions, discounted class fees and the support and
encouragement of a friendly community of artists.
For the class you will require:
1 kneadable eraser
1 A3 sketch book,
A selection of sketching pencils - suggest 2B, 4B and 6 B for a start
A sharpener or craft knife
As we progress through the terms, other materials may be required but will be low cost (eg. charcoal, coloured pencils, pastel)
