The “DARE” Group (“Daring Art Really Exciting”)
Is a recently formed group of artists who follow a non traditional, though not necessarily non figurative or completely abstract approach to their painting.

By working together over the last 3 years , sharing ideas and opinions, solving problems and encouraging one another in new ventures, the group members are “daring” to be different with varying degrees of  abstraction and by working outside each individual’s
own particular “square”.
Some of the group are traditionally trained artists and teachers so in these cases it has been an interesting path. This positive and  accepting environment has greatly encouraged creativity and progress within the group.

The Dare Group meet monthly for either an all day painting session or an  evening meeting. Vibrant, constructive discussions of recent works at the meetings inspire new directions and risk taking in the individual pursuit of creative art.
