Childrens Classes

The WAS Children's Art Classes are conducted by Inga Harper (BAFA) who has been teaching the class for almost 10 years.

The lessons cover:

  • Fundamentals of drawing:line, tone, perspective using pen, pencil,aqua/coloured pencils, Chinese calligraphy brush, oil pastels.
  • Colour theory is covered with an exciting use of oil pastels or acrylic poster paint.
  • Painting: composition & design using acrylic poster paint and watercolours.
  • Mixed media including collage.

Children have the opportunity to explore a wide variety of materials (all the materials are supplied). The projects are exciting and the program varied.

Classes are limited to 10 boys and girls ranging from the ages of 7-11 years.

Cost $110 for 10 sessions for WAS members, or $130 for non members
